About a year ago I wrote a post about how much I enjoyed a book called, The Miracle Morning, by keynote speaker and Hall of Fame business achiever, Hal Elrod.
I discussed how for most of my life I had been a big-time night owl, but slowly became disenchanted with the decrease in my productivity.
This decrease came about because I was forcing myself to work late. As a result, my copywriting wasn’t as fresh and sharp.
It dawned on me that I felt more awake and aware at the start of each day, so it only made sense to really put an emphasis on getting the most out of my mornings.
That’s when I heard about “Yo Pal” Hal’s amazing book, The Miracle Morning. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it because it continues to change my life for the better as the months roll by.
Early to bed early to rise really does make sense
Since I was a kid I had always heard the classic Ben Franklin line, “Early to bed early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.”
This had always sounded nice to me…but at the same time it seemed to lack enough detail to get me excited. Or maybe I was just stubbornly committed to my night owl habits.
Either way, Hal Elrod’s awesome book more than fills in the details I didn’t take the time to get from Ben Franklin.
Hal is a huge believer in continual self-development, and The Miracle Morning outlines an incredible routine that you can execute early every day.
- Jumping out of bed around 5:30 a.m.
- Practicing meditation and setting your intentions
- Writing and speaking daily affirmations
- Visualizing your success with crystal clarity
- Exercising and moving about to get the blood flowing
- Reading self-development books and blogs
- Recording your life through journals and audio recordings
- Speaking out loud in a heartfelt voice about all the wonderful things you absolutely expect to happen in your life
I’ve stayed with and thoroughly enjoyed my Miracle Morning routine for more than a year now, and my ever-increasing productivity and joyfulness continue to be rewarding and refreshing!
So, if you want to shift things up, jack up your energy and become more productive than ever—I highly recommend getting your hands on a copy of Hal Elrod’s book, The Miracle Morning. It’s a frickin’ winner!
