For the last several weeks, I’ve gone into detail about how to write various aspects of your book’s sales pages, eblasts, back cover copy, and Amazon descriptions.
I’ve covered how to write headlines, call-to-action lines, benefit-driven bullet points, solution pictures, nutshell descriptions of your book, and more.
However, what happens as an author if you sit down to write your book marketing copy and you go blank? In other words, what do you do if you get writer’s block.
Yes, it can happen when you write book marketing copy too.
I have a simple 3-step solution to beat writer’s block and you can find out what it is right here.
My remedies for writer’s block might surprise you. They’re a little outside the box, but they’re also very effective.

Give Yourself Permission to Write Bad First Drafts
I have some out-of-the-box ideas about what writer’s block really is and how you can beat it.
Writer’s block isn’t an ailment that’s typically associated with writing marketing copy. However, most authors I speak with get more blocked when writing marketing copy than they do when writing their books.
So if you’ve ever had this problem, you’re not alone. In this week’s video I give you the cure for beating marketing copy writer’s block.
Some of my ideas are quirky, but they’re also very effective. Here are a few key points I cover in much greater detail in this week’s video.
- Convince yourself that writer’s block doesn’t exist
- Give yourself permission to write bad first drafts
- Start by getting something, anything, down on paper
- Trust your editing skills to clean things up
- Write your marketing copy out of sequence
Again, in this week’s video, I provide you with in-depth information on each of these key points, so I encourage you to watch it.
If you do, you may never be jammed up by writer’s block again!
Until next week, take action and make things happen!
