How to Write Enticing P.S. Lines that Grab Your Readers

This week’s book marketing copy quick tip goes back to when you and your friends were little kids who passed “secret notes” back and forth during math class.

Remember how much fun it was and how important it seemed. Well, it was important because you were learning how to write book promotion copy … only you didn’t know it.

Think about it. When you passed secret notes back and forth with your friends, where was the real juicy stuff? It was usually in the P.S. line at the end of your note.

Remember how your eyes would immediately jump down to the P.S. line because it said stuff like …

P.S. I’ve got a big crush on Jenny, but don’t tell her.”

P.S. I’m going to run away from home next week. Don’t tell my parents.”

Now that you’re an author with a book that you’d love to see become a bestseller, you can use P.S. lines to make your marketing copy as enticing as the secret notes you wrote as a kid.

P.S. lines can be used to great effect when you include them at the end of your sales pages, e-blasts, and other marketing content for your book or online programs.

And of course the more engaging you make your marketing copy, the more books and programs you’re going to sell.
