Find out how to connect more closely with your audience
When I write book marketing copy for authors and coaches, they often want me to pass over their About page to focus on copy that pertains more directly to selling their book.
This is understandable. However, it’s a mistake.
Yes, writing marketing copy that sells your book or online program is essential. But your About page or author bio is more important today than ever.
That’s because these days your fans don’t want to just read about your professional background. They want to feel a connection with you as a person.
This is why it’s time to ditch your “old school” third-person About page copy in favor of a “new school” bio page that is more authentic and interactive.
This week’s video focuses on a technique that will help you do this so you can attract more fans and sell more books.

Speak Directly to Your Audience
In this week’s video, I show you how to create a “new school” About page that enables you to engage more directly with your fans. So please check it out.
Here is an overview of the main points I cover.
Boring professional bios written in the third person are yesterday’s news.
Today, you want your bio/About page copy to include a first-person dialogue that comes from your heart and speaks directly to your readers.
Be honest, authentic, and real – and let your audience know how they can interact with you online.
If you’re writing About the Author copy for the inside of your book, you may also consider crafting a personalized thank you letter to your loyal fans.
Again, I discuss these points in more detail and share an example in this week’s video, so I urge you to watch it.
Until next week, take action and make things happen!
